Terms of Service
Welcome to Koshbook. These Terms of Service ("Terms", "Agreement") govern your access to and use of the Koshbook application (the "App", "Service", or "Koshbook"), including mobile, desktop, and web versions where available.
By downloading, installing, or using Koshbook, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. License to Use
Koshbook grants you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and limited license to download, install, and use the App on your devices strictly in accordance with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
2. Accounts and Guest Mode
You may use Koshbook without an account in Guest mode, or create an account to enable cloud sync and premium features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate account information and notify us promptly of unauthorized use.
Device limits, sync behavior, and account management options are described in the App and may change over time.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Koshbook only for lawful personal finance tracking. You shall not reverse engineer, decompile, scrape, overload, or misuse the App or its connected services (including AI features), interfere with other users, or use the Service for any illegal or harmful purpose.
4. Plans, Billing, and Refunds
Koshbook may offer free and paid plans, including subscriptions and optional add-ons such as AI credits. Features, limits, pricing, and availability are shown in the App at the time of purchase and may be updated from time to time.
When in-app purchases are processed through an app store (such as Google Play), payment and billing are handled under that store's terms. Koshbook does not store your full payment card details.
Refunds: Except where required by applicable law or the app store's mandatory policies, all fees are final and non-refundable, including subscription charges, partial billing periods, and unused AI credits. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@progly.in within a response time and we will review your request in good faith; approval is at our discretion unless the store provides a mandatory refund.
Cancellations: You may cancel future subscription renewals through your app store subscription settings. Cancellation stops future charges but does not automatically refund the current billing period unless required by law or store policy.
Early access: We may offer complimentary or early-access premium features before billing is fully enabled. These are provided as-is, may change or end without notice, and do not create a right to continued free access.
5. Data Ownership and Backup
Your data is yours. You retain ownership of the financial records you enter. In Guest mode, data stays on your device. When signed in, data is stored locally and may sync to our cloud infrastructure to support backup and multi-device access.
Backup responsibility: Cloud sync is provided on a best-effort basis and is not a substitute for your own backups. You are responsible for maintaining copies of important records. Koshbook is not liable for data loss, corruption, sync delays, or recovery failures caused by device issues, network problems, account deletion, third-party outages, or user error.
Online features rely on third-party infrastructure and secure network transmission. Koshbook does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation of sync, AI, or cloud services.
6. No Professional Advice; AI Features
Koshbook provides transaction logs, analytics, budgets, exports, and AI-assisted search for informational and organizational purposes only. Outputs — including AI-generated summaries and filters — may be incomplete or inaccurate. Koshbook does not provide investment, tax, legal, or professional financial advice. Consult a qualified professional before making significant financial decisions.
7. Third-Party Services
The App integrates third-party services (including Supabase, Google, Firebase, and app stores). Your use of those features is also subject to the applicable third-party terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
8. Intellectual Property
All trademarks, logos, visual designs, software, and content in Koshbook are owned by Koshbook or its licensors. No ownership rights are transferred to you under this Agreement.
9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Koshbook and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from your use of the Service.
10. Termination and Account Deletion
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it and, if applicable, deleting your account from Profile settings. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local consumer protections apply in your jurisdiction.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the date above. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
